Food LEP has not eaten

Postby Hel » Tue Jul 14, 2009 4:06 am

An exciting topic, to be sure.

For those who don't know, one of the creators of this game enjoys trying new foods. He's eaten lots of interesting stuff.

Just post some random foods.

Durian - a pungent fruit with a spiny outer shell. Neither Billy nor LEP had tried it as of what, a year ago?
Mangostein - never had it myself, but have heard good reports. Apparently it's sweet and makes excellent juice.
Huckleberries - They are a lovely dark dark blue.

I remember this thread from a previous game, it got very strange very quickly if I remember right. OK, here goes:

bacon sandwich! :D

hmm, have you actually had squid and octopus LEP?
Snails, they count as food if you're a tourist in France
pigs trotters - my Grandad used to love them.

P.S.
I have since had Durian in it's natural form. (I had tried durian flavoured sweets ages ago, but they don't count.) It's edible, but certainly not worth stinking your house out for a week.

I have eaten bacon sandwiches!!!!!
Some one complained in that other game's thread that my bacon sandwiches were corrupted as I put tomatoes and other stuff in them.
So I made a bacon sandwich with a pair of gammon steaks instead of bread to ensure heart stopping bacony goodness.

Still not had snails, nor Durian but have had Huckleberries and I think I may have had the mangostein.

Ostrich still my favourite meat.

Well kinda.

Not the original cooked in Korea variety but pickled cabbage and other pickled stuff, fairly common n Eastern Europe but called other things.

From what I have heard the Korean version is a little, errrm, strong tasting and not sure would want to try it :-P

Have you had stripples? I'm sure you'd hate them.

I feel a dinner challenge coming on for when you back from Japan.

We should a) try if from there one lunchtime then b) cook it ourselves for some others one evening :-)
