I'm kinda on the side of noobs for this one. I know in some of the other games that some people just cannot survive as they get absolutely obliterated as soon as the newb protection is lifted after a week or so.

I'm always up for being over the top protective about noobs but I'm not sure how Lep thinks about it :p think hes quite mean about it :D

Well obviously itd take a lot of calculating and tweaking so that, especially in this stage o development there's a large amount of "attackable" people. The tweaks would come in to basically just make sure those who ya can fight, are those who at least have enough military and economy to (or should be able to at least) have a chance at defending themselves. Of course if someone truly is a "noob" and has got an absolutely uber economy but no defenses whatsoever, then they deserve to be hit as it should be balanced to assume that with their power, they should have the ability to defend themselves against whatever players are able to attack.

Just it doesn't matter how "Pro" ya are, if someones litterally got 5 more villages and THREE-THOUSAND more resources than ya, you don't have a chance in hell at being able to do anything about being hit, heck ya can't even cost them anything. Even if ya do bleed em for slight amounts of cash through resource denial, unless ya wipe out their attacking force (which ya can't do when ya that disadvantaged) they can still keep up the fight craploads longer than you because they just simply have more resources to throw in, while yours will run short much quicker.

Doesn't matter how many units or whatever ya build with that difference in "level", they're always gunna be able to send more and more to match it.

So yeah, as long as the system only protects those who don't have a chance in hell, while allows those who COULD defend themselves to still be attacked then its all good. As I said as long as ya allow even those under protection to break it if they wish on-attack, itl still get lower's participating in clan wars and so on. And if they make the wrong choice and initiate an attack on someone high then, its tough ** if they get raped for 48 hrs (or whatever) till their protection comes back as itl be their own fault. :D

Itl just help those who haven't even had a chance to get to that "level" yet, and stop any pointless raping of those who can't do anything at all about it thats all. Sure massively higher level people might enjoy farming those who are wayyyyyyyy below em for a bit, but most would probably get bored if they arn't encouraged (or forced) to seek at least a bit of a challenge. :P

Thats my take on it anyways. Like I said I'm not too bothered myself since its still in development atm anyways, also that dude only attacked me twice and I didn't lose much so it didn't really put me out, its just the fact that someone so strong could even hit me at all seemed a bit wrong heh.

I agree. If you're constantly being bullied or raided or attacked, then join a clan that will help you and protect you. If your clan isn't doing so, find another one. It's as simple as that.
